01 1.8TQ Idle adjustment
hi, my car idles at about 600 RPM with a lot of valve noise (like a diesel), if the RPM is increased to about 750-800 it goes away. I can not find any adjustment anywhere. I have already changed the mass air flow meter and the idle control valve (idle stablizer valve). is there any way I can adjust the idle? thanks

how do I reprogram? is this a dealer only option, or I can use the software diagnostic tool which allows me to hook up my laptop to the OBDII connection to read the codes? please advise.
