01.5 1.8t Stalled, Wont Start, missing CPS? (codes inside)
Well my auto avant died on me, I'll start with the issues leading up to her death. For a few months it would studder slightly when taking off at part throttle. It has stalled a few times when going slowly and letting of throttle (could be the bov). The day it died I had just started her up let it warm up for a few minutes then drove 2 blocks and stopped at the corner and so did the engine it was very soft stall didn't even know till pressed the gas and nothing! Tried to restart and it tried to fire for a second then just cranks over and over. Towed it back to the house with the girlfriends bimmer.
Code pulling time
First vag on it yielded
Camshaft Timing adjustment: open circuit p1531
Throttle valve controller: malfunction p1545
Engine speed sensor g28 no signal p0322
engine coolant temp sensor signal to high p0118
Cleared code rechecked and no code tried to start and pulled only one code of the 4 again
Camshaft Timing adjustment: open circuit p1531
Decided it must be the engine speed sensor or the main relay from searching the forums
Unpluged the speed sensor or the plug as shown here
http://www.a4mods.com/index.php?page...tml&category=5
Tried to start as i heard with it unplugged it will revert to default and will eventually start (no luck)
Tried the locate the sensor and found where I think it should be but there just a empty port with one threaded hole next to it, inside there's what feels like the flywheel ribbed edge???
Checking the relay today.
Any help at all would be much appreciated, I really need to get this wagon back on the road asap. Thanks
