It came on and I checked my level and even topped it off

Is this an easy fix?

Dealership just told me to bring it in and it "Should be covered" under CPO warranty

Is this actually covered under the warranty?

I have only had the car the last 8,000 miles and it now has right at 50k on it

 

I would bring it in, just in case. If it's oil sludge, you may get a new engine out of it. Amze just went through the same ordeal not too long ago. Hope you don't have to go through the same thing. It could be something simple as a bad sensor. Either way, if you're over 50k, then the CPO warranty kicks in. All you have to pay is a $50 deductible, and the dealer will pick up the rest. Be sure to ask for a loaner while yours is @ the dealer.

Its not my oil level since that is a seperate light.
