Ebay stores have german made ICM modules for $79, Bosch unit is 350 and out of stock locally, how interchangeable are these and has anyone had any experience with the equivalent units.

I bought one of those ebays ICM, and work just fine. And i also think that definetly thats gonna fix your problem. For all you people with missfires, allways try swaping the coilpacks and then the ICM.

Update, I have ordered the bosch ICM, was a $149 from stopshopanddrive.com, spoke to the girl there and she said they have had some issues with the other ICM and Bosch seems to be the unit of choice. Will let u know (when it arrives) if it fixes my problem.

I guess the plugs now wont need changing for a long time and I will have a spare coil pack, and if this is not the problem a spare ICM.

Still I guess Audi still would have been more expensive then what I have spent on parts.

New ICM and all is well, so I would add that to the trouble shooting guide.

Hey guys, i wrote that guide, but I am a GTI guy, so I missed the audi specific details.

I just got an A4 car to build for rallycross, so I am learning the quirks.
Wont actually start right now need to fix by tonight for race this weekend

If you have info to add, just write a section, and e-mail it to me. ill add it in the master list.

Thanks,

What about code P0411 - Secondary Air, incorrect flow detected. I see many people asking about it in the forum, but I don't see any definite solutions. Obviously, the problem can be caused by many different issues, but I don't see any responses that says the problem is fixed. It's always, "The light came back on". Any thoughts? Thanks.
