Default 1.8T Noob Help

Hey guys, im new to the whole modding thing so please bare with me.. [sm=smiley11.gif]

I really want to add some extra horses. I want to know whether there will be any long term damage/problems from adding more horsepower and is there anything i can do to prevent it? also where do i get the parts from?

ive been looking at alot of the topics where u guys talk about chips and stuff, but can anyone give me maybe a small list of what i can start out with? sort of a Noob guide to doing all this..

thanks....[sm=thanx.gif]

Check out www.evoms.com -> go to tuning systems

They have very nice packages you can get. Makes everything simple.

Stage 1- DV, intake, chip

Stage 2- stage 1 plus exhaust

... the list goes on from there, so check it out.

You always run the possibility of decreasing engine reliability with mods. Albeit remote.

As they said before

This is if you don't want to replace your turbo. This setup will break 200 HP.

1. Chip (APR or GIAC) www.goapr.com & www.awe-tuning.com
2. DV (Diverter Valve) Bosch, Hyperboost, Forge and Bailey are examples. Make sure you get a CLOSED LOOP DIVERTER VALVE, and not a blow off valve.
3. Injecters (APR & AWE sells)
4. Exhaust (APR, Milltek, Oettinger, Borla)

If you don't care about replacing your turbo then get a K04 turbo kit with the ecu software, new DV, bigger injecters and an exhaust.
