Default 1.8t Transmission

First of all great site! I have already seen tons of good info and advice. Was hoping to find out more about a problem that just happened to my car. I have a 2005 A4 1.8t with a 6-speed trans. I was driving down the highway in 6th and went to downshift into 5th, as traffic came up. I wasn't going really fast probably like 60, maybe 70. When I came out of 6th the shifter felt strange (more vibrations inthe stick), and then wouldn't go into 5th or back into 6th. WhenI reved the engine it just made noise, with no acceleration. The clutch pedal stayed down against the floor. At first I though it was a blown bushing on the pedal, but whenI came to a stop and truned the car offI could turn it back on again (so the clutch must be engaged). The car starts, and runs but it won't go into gear. If you play with the shifter you can feel it get shaky when it moves past the gate (while still in neutral). Also the pedal has some bob (so it's not a pedal bushing) but you can feel tons of vibrations in it. I had it flatbedded back to the dealer, to look at in the morning, butI was wondering if any of you could shed some light on the subject, or maybe point me in the direction of someone who could.

Thanks a ton
