yes - any A4 automatic after '98 has a tiptronic mode.
I've had 2 tips. Love them both - fun to drive. Not for racing if you're into that, but its not that much of a disadvantage on the street at all. More of an advantage I say...

$14,500 with 75,000 miles seems to be high for that car. Is the timing belt and water pump done? I paid CDN$19900 for the same model with 100,000 kilometers. A new set of tires, front brake rotor and pads, timing belt and water pump done for an additional CDN$2500.
Anyway, to answer your question. I have a tiptronic and I love it. Some people say that a stick will have turbo lag.
