not sure if you're meaning to be sarcastic, or what type of sarcasim you're trying to acheive. but....

other than a clutch and some trans and diff mounts, his drivetrain is stock

no sarcasm intended at all. rather, it was after 1am and I had just gotten home from work, and I meant to write "powertrain", as in engine + tranny + other driveline components.

so my question remains, does anyone know how much money he's put into that setup?

No ****! Hence, what its good for; a block aka nothing special.

His engine is now 2032cc and mines going to be 2008cc

83mm pistonsvs his 83.5mm pistons.

correct. some reputable sources say that you should not go over a 83.0 bore. but mike has somehow been able to do do it "relatively" reliable with his 83.5..

but Cincy, i assume you are using your stock block right? what crank are you going to use? ABA? Eurospec?

well the number of man hours/R&D/parts is probably more than you will want to ever imagine..

but since his car is a sponsored car, money out of his pocket is probably around 15-20k in mods(remember he has had to rebuild the engine twice

this is just speculation though. i am not quoting any sources

AEG crank
Scat rods
Wiseco 83mm 9.25:1 pistons (i like compression, good for spool)
Stock ATC block same as AWD

83.5 is beyond what you should use for a street car, guessing same sources. Plus the 24cc's isnt worth the thinner cylinder walls. If you use a TDI block and crank you can go 2.1L but you cant rev as high as with the 92.8 crank. Basically, its the same as stock.
