First of all, let me apologize for the title of this post. I feel like I can't quite say 'newbie', but I don't like to go against the grain, so I say n00b. But then that makes me feel too elite (1337), so I have to take it overboard. [sm=headbang.gif]

ANYWAY, here's the deal: I'm looking at purchasing a 99' (or 99.5) 1.8T. One of the mods I'd like to do is the ATP GTRS kit w/EuroCode ( http://www.ecodetuning.com/shop/cart...t_detail&p=504 ). I know that I'll probably need a catback for this, but I need to know what else I have to do to get the car ready for this big-*** turbo. I may or may not have it professionally installed -- I consider myself highly mechanically inclined. I do understand that it will be a bitch though if I do install it myself.

you could just buy that kit and be done with it..

to maximize the performance you would need:
FMIC
3" turbo-back exhaust
turbo intake pipe (TIP)
intake
diverter valve (DV)
clutch/flywheel

IMO before you drop the money on this i would get a boost gauge, suspension, brake upgrade, hids, and snub/tranny/engine mounts.

i think 034motorsports is still having a sale on their engine/tranny mounts
