Hey everyone,

I just bought a 1996 Audi A4 1.8 as a daily run around car and want to change the tail lights from the standard 1995 and 1996 model ones to the late 1997-1999 audi a4 tail lights. Does anyone know if this is possible, im guessing i'll need both the lense as well as the bulb panel holder as the positioning of the brake, indicator and tail light are different between the lights. Will the factory plug that runs from the car to the tail light bulb holder panel fit the newer model tail light bulb holder?

Also which of the following would look better on a 1996 Audi A4 1.8 light silver in colour.

LEDS would be brighter but i dont like them, get teh standard bulb, assuming of course that they fit

sorry just to confirm, the lights that were used in the install instructions were from a 99.5 and onwards a4 b5 right?

I cant find anywhere that sells the bulb holder panels for the 99.5 a4 b5, im in australia by the way.

 

sorry one last thing to confirm, the plug on my 1996 audi a4 that plugs into the bulb panel holder is the same (apart from the small wiring modification) and will plug into the bulb panel holder for a 99.5 a4.
