hey, im gonna sell my 97 2.8 a4 and get a 1998 1.8t,i dont want to spend gobs of cash but do want tomake moderatepower. is the giac chip good? and what company for exhausts? thanks for the help

 

to answer ur first question...yes
and for exhaust, its really what u want it to sound like, and whether u want to go BT or not...but i think most people here go custom, but for me, i want to go Borla when i have money

 

How much money do ya got is always a good question - futrue plans for the car? how much modding are you going to do to it?

 

well after i sell it and buy a 1.8t ill have about 2000 dollars to start until i can make some more cash. i want at not really loud but to have a nice deep growl. eventually ill go BT but not for a while.

....not trying to be mean, but you clearly stated yourself as to why hes asking on the forum instead of doing a search.
I have k04, borla, and the giac chip, its a bit on the louder side but I dont mind at all, actually prefer it compared to quieter audis I have heard.
Borla is definitely a high preference for audi owners, but I have seen TONS of custom exhausts on this forum...it really is all up to you.
Check out the borla, its pretty nice...all personal opinions though.
