1998 Audi A4 2.8 Quattro feedback
Hi All!
This is my first post. I am interested in buying my first Audi. I'm looking at a 1998 A4 with 115,000 miles (it's an early year '98 model). I've read some various reports that this model is not very reliable. The asking price is $8,000. Does anyone have any experience with this model or advice for me?
Thanks! Great forums!

I have a 98 A4 Q with 80100 miles. and yes i guess you can say maintance is expensive... it cost me a total of of about 1200 if remember right to change my timming belt and all the little pulleys and stuff that come with it. Apart from that i have not really had to do much for it. It drives good and i am still working on making it look much nicer. Then again i dont know if i can really say because how you take care of the car decides how much expenses you will have to be making on it.
i love my 2.8 quattro. I wish it was a 1.8T cause i like to mod alot, but there are a few u can do for teh 2.8 and it has the supercharger available. Its a very relibale car but like are german cars maintence is a little more expensive.
I just bought a 97 2.8l A4 to replace my current daily driver. I have a nice car I built up for car shows, autocross, and summer cruises so I wasn't looking to do much with this Audi and decided to get the 2.8. I think its a awesome car to drive on a regular basis. For a 98 8k seems about right. I picked up my 97 for 6k though w/ 96k miles.
