Default 1999.5 A4 1.8T wheel noise

Bottom line is there a noise coming from my left tire while i drive. Its like a steady tapping and a vibration. The noise and vibration gets louder when i take my foot off the gas and let the car go downhill or just on its own inertia. The noise gets softer when i brake and the vibration stops too. I thought it might have been the control arm cuz they are known to go bad but its not. I thought the bearings could be another possibility or maybe the rotor itself. I was wondering if anyone had and idea or if they had this happen to them.

could be the inner brake pad. take your wheel off and check things out a bit. you know like shake things, see if stuff moves. i had my whole front end rattle and the sound goes away immediately after i put the brakes on even a tiny bit.
