I have a 2.8 but for the same price as a PES G2 supercharger I can get a 2.7t. Has anyone tried this befor? What should I antisipate as problem zones?

 

They are basically the same engines, just that the pistons are differnt to give you the extra ~100cc. Not worth the money/effort

 

You're probably gonna have to get the 6 speed trans with it or the S4 Tip as well with the engine with all the trimmings. Way too much money than you can afford, trust me.

 

Just use the money to buy a dam S4.

 

if they are the same is it possible to get the top end of the 2.7t and convert the 2.8 to a twin turbo. basically if i can only get 295 with a supercharger vs. 265 with a stock 2.7t fore basically the same money why not go for the 2.7t?

 

If you search twin turbo setup on here, you can find a link to a guy on passat world that has tons of pics of what he did to do what your asking. But the cost/benifiet would be better to just sell your car and get a real s4.

Any moron with a nice check book can go buy a s4 just to say you have a s4. i paid 1500 for my a4 and can get a complete wrecked s4 for 1200 the grand total is 2700 and i have a running driving s4 clone yes there is labor involved but thats what makes u a gear head. now for all you "go buy an s4 guys" find me a s4 for 2700 that is worth a damn. ohhhh thats right you can't hey man be a real car guy not a poser do the swap have fun learn some stuff build the **** out of that 2.7tt and go stop some peeps at the track.
