Yeah I know the mirror only is supposed to dim at night, but it doesn't do it at all. I need to check the wire to see if its cut, but in order to do that, I need to take the windshield out. Good thing I work for a glass shop.

 

The dimming is kind of subtle but works great. techbod, you have a b5? I didn't think any b5's had a trunk button, but apparently some do? New to me.

 

^Dave's from across the pond. i've seen euro keys before and they have a third button to pop the trunk on the key fob

 

My pre-facelift 99 only has the motion-sensor kill switch - no gas door or trunk unlatch (those are unlocked when the doors are unlocked on my car).

 

Most later model B5'swill have auto dimming on every mirror(1.8T or 2.8). One thing I noticed on my '01 was when I tinted the windows, the mirrors were always dim(which was kinda annoying)[:@]
