Default 2003 A4 Intermittent Oil Light PANIC!!!!

So, I've searched through the forums and I havent found a clear answer to my problems and I'm in a bit of a panic now as I don't want to foul up the car i've only had for 6 months. My car is a 2003 B6 A4 Sedan1.8T Quattro Auto-Tranny.

On my way back home to orlando from my holiday trip in TN with my family, the animated oil can on the multi-information display on the gauge cluster beeped once then turned off. About an hour later it came back on again, beeped 3 times then turned off, a few hours after that when i reached middle of nowhere georgia the animated light came on and stayed on for the duration of my trip back down to orlando. I got an oil change on my car 1000 miles before driving it to TN

After the first incident i checked the oil level, it was fine. When i got back to orlando i checked the forums to see i could find a similar problem. I've learned that it could be sludge, low oil pressure, or the oil pump going bad, or low oil. I can rule out low oil, i believe i can rule out the oil pump going bad as the oil light comes on after a time and stays on, does not turn off no matter how high the rpms go. I did notice that the oil light will not come on AT ALL if the car is in park. i've revved the engine and the light won't come on. it only comes on when the car is in motion, normally after a few minutes. I dont believe it is a sludge problem; there are no signs of goop or buildup on the dipstick or inside the engine (i looked around in the inside where you pour oil into the car).

I should also say that the car makes a strange noise when it is cold and sometimes when shifting...like metal vibrating against metal very quickly...not the transmission, thenoise is coming from the engine compartment somewhere?the noise isnt constant or there all the time and it is very very quiet, i just noticed it one day when i started the car when i was in TN. could it be related to the oil problem?

Anyway, as far as performance is concerned i havent noticed the car running any differently. It's not running hot at all, or sluggishly, it sounds fine, smells fine, nothing burning, no check engine light, no EPC mode. Imanaged to drive it all the way back to orlando without a problem at all other than the annoying beeping and animated oil cap flashing at me.

I've got an appt with my local audi dealership to look at the problem but they cant look at my car for almost a week. I can't not drive the car, it's my only ride and i need it to get back and forth from work.

Does ANYONE have aclue what is going on with this Audi? It's been a headache since the day i bought her, I love the way it drives but, and through everything i've not regretted my purchase at ALL until this oil problem.

List of things that have gone wrong in 6 months of audi ownership:

-Vacuum check valve split in half
-p1103 temp sensor went bad
-bose audi amplifier cut out
-passenger side factory brake caliper locked into the pressed position causing the rotor and pads on the front to wear unevenly (happend on my way to TN..that was FUN! the ESP, Check Engine, and EPC light all came on with this little problem)
-NOW, my oil light is on and messing up
