Default 2003 a4 quatro 1.8 turbo

I just purchased a 2003 audi a4 ,autotrans ,sport package, 35k miles, (pre-certified from audi dealer)...all i can say is DAAAAAAAMN.I've never had a car like this before....fast,hot..just awesome.black ext.black leather seats....fully jamed 17 inch wheels.i have tosay ,i've been learning a lot about audi's now.Its a special car ..that requires care.i've been using only high octane gas and it's been driving like a dream...but what i am concerned with ,i keep hearing horror stories about audi maitnenance.any suggestions to keep my audi running awesome?should i always use the audi dealer for oil changes and 10k maitenance?is this a reliable car?

thanks for your comments.

I was in your situation too. Before, I used to drive an Integra and now I drive an Audi and it's a different world. I love the car and I'm sure you will love yours just as much.

There isn't really much you can do to run away from the problems. Unless you keep your car in the garage. The best thing you can do is change our oil on time, check flulds at every oil change and rotate tires every other oil change. Notice any leaks, do a check on your suspension by wiggling the wheel left and right. Then up and down. Also, drive with your 5 sense and note any weird sounds. Check them out ASAP and don't wait till the last second to fix your car or one problem will become another problem.

Enjoy your Audi! =)

Its a very reliable car, and glad you got the upgraded rims and all the goodies. You'll love it, put a top Synthetic Oil into it every 3-3.5k miles (make sure you do this) just use, Redline or Crown Purple if you ask me. Just be on top of it, keep using 91-93 octane gas and she'll keep performing like a dream. The only major matnience that you have to worry about is 60k matnience. Unless your under warranty I wouldn't have anything done at the dealer.. its cheaper and easier to take it to a spealist or do it yourself.

Enjoy the car, have fun
