2004 audi a4 - timing belt tensioner
Hi All!
Just took my 2004 Audi A4 100K miles into mechanic, who had replaced the timing belt one year ago. He's telling me the tensioner is now faulty and needs to be replaced, but while the tensioner itself is not that expensive of a part ($180) the labor alone would be almost 6 hours worth of work to pay for.
Has anybody ever driven with a faulty tensioner and immediately had problems with it?? I'm not sure the car is worth the money to pay to fix it.
thanks
