Default 2005/2006 2.0 HP

Hi

What is the HP on the 2.0 in the convertible? I thought it was 197 hp and the 1.8 170 hp.

Thanks

Alan

While l agree with you l seem to have read that the convertible still had 170 hp but again the article might have been off. It didn't make sense to me.

Having a rough time finding a CPO A4 vert auto 05/06 in NJ. They are around but they still are pricey.

Thanks

Alan

For the model year 2005 is the 2.0 vert ok for the convert with the auto? My wife can't drive manual and believe me l tried. They are making better deals with the 3.0 for the same year.

Thanks

Just go with the 3.0 it will have more stock Hp. More reliable and i dont think you wife will wont to mod the car either.

I'm with ocadam...I'd go with the 3.0 if you're not going to modify it. The stock 4 cyl might feel anemic carrying the extra weight of the convertible. (I read some reviews that said the same)

Your probably right and l also noticed that even the 2005/06 convert's come with the 1.8 and not the 2.0 engines.

With the 3.0 l will have to change the tires to all season rather then the sport tires during the winter months because my wife works 45 miles away and she can get caught in some snow. I can probably swap them out in the Spring.

Thanks
