2006 A4 2.0T Turbo Glowing bright red very quickly, what to do?
My 2006 A4 2.0T only has 10000 miles on it and in short trips, i pull off and look in my hood and my turbo is glowing bright orange. i called the company and they said that it was normal and ok, and i know that, is not true and it wont be ok when i blows up. What can i do keep my turbo from overheating so quickly? the entire car is stock too so any help would be great..

It is normal for your car, and the turbo is built to withstand the heat.
You are fine, they are correct, and unless the performance of the vehicle starts to be affected - no reason to worry.
I'll grab a video that shows how it looks under your hood when a typical turbo spools up.
Let me see if I can find it.....

Here's the link to a Lancer Evolution turbo glowing - Turbo Glow Link
And here's a WRX glowing......wait until about 25 seconds into the video - crazy stuff, those turbos.

Make sure you let it cool down before you shut it off. It will help extend the life of the turbo.

They have implemented measures to help cool the car because of the problems with earlier models.
Having said that, it IS still important to allow proper cooling if you take it out and drive it into the ground or have just finished a long trip......
Casual day-to-day driving should not really require any additional effort to look after the car, she'll be fine.
