Default 2006 A4 - Seatbelt Ding

Hi All,

New to Audi with less than 1 week into my 2006 A4 2.0 Quattro / Tip / Prem / Tech / Sunroof. I gotta tell you, so far everything has been great. What a car, even compared to the car I had just before this one, a 540i. There's just one annoying aspect... This car is such a nanny about seatbelts. Does anyone know of a way to turn off the notification / ding for the seatbelt? Is there some way to hack it???

TIA!

Good car. I think you'd like her better with the 6-sp manual.

I haven't even tried to do anything about the seat belt chime, because I don't really consider it that intrusive. If you're in the seat with the ignition on, it dings. I just buckle up..!

There's probably a fuse, or you could find a wiring diagram in a shop manual or something. Or, you could just buckle that ******. Seatbelts Save Lives!!!!!11!!!11!!1!

i agree with Yuikio..........i wouldn't wanna be heading toward the steering wheel at 100km/h when the airbag was heading back at me at 300............

could make a pretty big mess.

air bags are SUPLEMENTARY safety devices. seatbelts are the first line of defense.........but i ain't your mom. it's your call

The seatbelt chime can be disabled using a VAG-Com cable. I got rid of mine, it's much better without it. I posted the procedure, search for it.

Hey justnomen, was mine disabled cause whenever i turn the car on, the seatbelt light turns on and dings for about 5-10 secs but then disappears and stops makin the noise even if i don't put my seatbelts on. Funny cause i want mine on while other people want theirs off.

You have a B5? The B7's chime is MUCH more annoying than the B5's.
