I went to put the top back up and the rear lid opened about 3 inches and stopped. I tried to put it back down and the power top light on the dash started blinking. I manually put the top up. I took the car to the dealer I purchased it from (Toyota) due to the warranty. Of course the warranty does not cover any of the convertible componets. The dealer said they would have to send it to Audi to be diagnosed and fixed. They said they are unable to run a diagnostic test on it.

So my questions are:
Would the Audi dealer be able to see if there was an error code? My check engine light is not on. Power top light blinks when I try to put top down.

If anyone else has had this issue what was the solution and cost?
