235-40-18 size tires???

Default 235-40-18 size tires???

as my search for wheels continue i came across a package deal that was offering me 235-40-18 size tires for 18 in wheels??? I though 225-40-18 was the correct tire for a b5 a4?? am i wrong?

You are correct... 225/40/18 is definately what you'll want on a b5. You'd want 235's if you had a b6, though.

i have 235s on my 17s...they fit fine, but they aren't the right size so i believe my speedo is fast by a little bit

How low are you right now, though? I know the 2001's with 17" RS4 wheels came with 225/45/17... and I know that with my 235's I was rubbing rather frequently. It's definately safest to go with 225's if lowering is in the future.

I miss my firehawks, though... they were badass tires.

the lowest i've gone so far on them was the stock sport suspension..
