I just got a new Audi A4 2.8quattro today. I noticed that while i was flooring my car and i switched quickly from 1st to 2nd i felt the car jump. I dont know wat it could be my transmission or the awd system? does anyone have the same problem?

 

does the transmission slip and all of the sudden "catch" causing the car to lunge?

 

I know that the clutch catches a lot high on these cars and if you just picked up the vehicle today its most likley driver error sorry bud not trying to say you don't know how to drive dtick or anything its just when I picked my up it felt wierd at first also btw welcome to the forums

 

Yea it feels like a big jump mainly coming from the back, i think its the wheels just grabbing but i dont know... ive been pretty pretty expierienced driving stick b4. My buddy who drove as well noticed the same problem.

 

But its only wen im flooring the car, other than that the gear box shifts smoothly, i also had a nother question is it bad launching an all wheel drive vehicle at 3k off the line, could it bring problems in the future?

 

I know what you mean. I had some rough 1-2 shifts in a couple 2.8's i've test driven so far (havn't bought one yet). I believe it's due to inexperience though... being as the only manual's i've driven are a sunfire... sundance, and a rodded chevy nova (2gear auto drag racer )
By the way... I'm new... what's up... anyone selling a B5 A4?
