60,000 Maint. service
Greetings all. My 60,000 mile service is in need of completing and as we all know that includes the timing belt and a few other things too. Also, should I replace my water pump since I'll have it all opened up anyway? Does anyone else know of something that may need to be replaced besides the waterpump? Also, where can I find inexpensive parts that still meet the demands of manufacturer specifications. Ex. spark plugs with the proper temp specs, Oil filters with the proper pressure relief,..etc.

Any responses will be greatly appreciated.

Yes- replace your water pump. Just as well - you should only need to replace the impeller and the outer part of the housing (you can buy just these parts at www.ecstuning.com for a good price.) Change ALL your belts while your there (serpentine belt, AC belt, etc). And of course, make sure they change your timing belt tensioner with the UPDATED style- which is the norm for this service.

For you plugs, filters, etc... go with the above website. They have a great number of parts for the A4. For oil filters I go with Mann (which is an oem filter).

cheers
