stearns, i don't know if youre under the impression that the bose system doesn't have the cd changer, but that's incorrect. my bose system has the changer, and i believe all bose systems included the cd changer.

 

Basically it is a fancy built-in programmable garage door opener

 

My premium package included auto dimming mirrors, moon roof and home link. Heated mirrors were part of a cold weather package.

 

Premium sound = Bose. If you have Bose there will be a Bose badge on the door speaker grills. If you have Bose and no cd changer, then the changer has been removed.

A chipped 1.8t is much more fun to drive than a stock 2.8. You CAN get a chip for the 2,8, but it is fairly worthless and not worth the money.

Timing belt is not a hard job to do by yourself. Time consuming, but not hard, especially with all the good tutorials out there (like on AW). I did the change on my 1st audi without any prior knowledge. Only had to buy a couple basic tools.

Full 60k service includes:

T-belt tensioner roller*
Serpentine belt

Thermostat*
Coolant flush*

* Optional - and assuming you do the timing belt job

 

Brrman, what kind of wheels do you have?

 

my 96 with bose doesn't have any stamps anywhere. the head unit starts up with "bose" on the display, and that's about it i think.
