60k service question for a newb
i just took my 2002 a4 3.0 quattro to a local mechanic instead of the audi dealer for the 60k service, he sadi after looking at my service manual all he needed to do was change the oil. he said the car looked great and nothing else needed to be done, what do you guys think? i read in the other post i found stuff about spark plugs, etc. thanks again.
7 Quarts? Yowza... do the 3.0's take that much? B6 1.8's take under 5...who knows.
And the 60K service as per the manual might not include much... but the timing belts are known to go sooner than the manual might suggest.

I just called the dealer about this on Friday. About 6k until 60k.
Dealer told me they do a lot more then just change the oil. Among them were, Flush Cooling System, Flush Break System and Replace Pollen Filter. (Run to car and grab maintenance book) My Maintenance book show a lot that should be done at 60k. A lot more then just a simple oil change.
