Can 1.8 engine upgrade to 1.8T?

I got 96' Audi A4 1.8

 

LOL....dude, you have a 1.8, and as I recall, the only 1.8's in the a4s are turboed.

 

Pop your hood... Look on the passenger side of the engine... Yes, down there... Do you see an EXHAUST MANIFOLD, or a TURBOCHARGER?

I bet you see a Turbo, haha. Your car is Turbocharged man, I don't think they ever made a Naturally Aspirated 1.8 in our cars.

 

I know they made a 1.9 diesel in europe... I can see how you thought your car wasnt a turbo from the very sad stock performance..

 

I think some of the 1.8's over seas were N/A if thats the case I would say no because of compression and **** like that but WTF do I know...............

 

in other countries they have way more engine selection then us
i dont know if u can but anything is possible casue im sure the components and compression ratios are diffrent from the turboed 1.8T

 

Yep. In Australia we have 1.8l non turbo in B5

 

also none turbo on offer in the UK but im sure you can add a turbo if it hasn't got one
