96 Audi A4 Heating Issues Could Use Some Advice!!
Hello, I am new to the forum but I am looking for some advice to help mend my Audi. I have 96 Audi A4 Quattro 2.8 v6. When I get into my car and start it, it runs fine. Heats to the middle line (on the guage) and reads fine for about 20 min. After sometime when I am driving though town (Slower Speeds) the needle likes to rise up, It does not touch the H but goes about 3/4 up. If I get to a highway and start speeding around again the temp drops back to its normal reading. Its like the car wants to over heat but it wont allow it. The waterpump and timing belt are ok and am not leaking anything, I have talked to some people and they say could be my fan clutch or thermostat.. My first question is... does this sound right? Also if this is the case does anyone know of any guides on how to replace these iteams! I am from Minneapolis and willing to pay a local that might do side work.. Thank you!
