Default 97 A4 2.8 fwd. NEED HELP ASAP!!!! Idk what i did to it but its bad.

i have a 1997 audi a4 2.8L fwd automatic. it was running perfectly fine. but then i had removed spark plug wires 1 and 2 overnight so my dad wouldnt drive it. i went to started it in the morning without remembering to reconnect them, it wasnt running right, and by that i mean it took a sec to start and ran shakey and was idleing really low. i drove it about 2-3 blocks before it started running worse and worse till i remembered i forgot to reconnect the wires. i parked and let it sit for a few minutes just cause. when i got back in, to go home and grab the wires, and tried starting it, it barely started only after i gave it a lil gas and when i put it into drive and pressed the gas it bogged out and died. i immediatly tried starting it again, and quickly threw it in drive and i got until the next stop light when i had to stop reving it,and it died and wouldnt restart. i had to push it to the side and i quickly ran home to grab the wires. when i reattached the wires it started but ran really bad. it smelled bad, sounded bad, ran shakey, shifted at a higher rpm(3,000 instead of its usual 2,500), when accelerating theres a lag, and still idled so low it was threatning to shut off. when i got home i decided not to drive it until i found out what i did. like i said earlier, before i drove it with out those spark plug wires unattached it ran perfect so im pretty postive i messed it up then. can anyone plz tell me what i did to it and if i can fix it, or am im screwed/take it in to the machanic. either way if someone can just give me an idea at what happened that would be awesome!!!!!!

Well, if you put the spark plug wires back on on the wrong cylinders, wrong order it would cause that.

Here you go. Front of car is where the distributor drawing is.

Firing order is: 1-4-3-6-2-5
