yes, unfortunately mine doesnt have the 5mm bolt, it is a plug witha 19mm flat on the plastic cap and a round rod about 5/8" that is in the casting with no visible means of retention, i have wiggled the cap and gently pried (probably already broke it) but no dice

when i did mine i had to break the sensor off the hub and replace it. Most times they get seized in there and you end up taking a hammer to the sensor.

skidplate, how does it actually work, does the plastic disconnect from the metal tube in the casting, or are they one unit, and if so it cant just stay in by friction, what retains it? twist lock, snap ring or what im at a loss, i didnt want to hammer it out but i will if i have to, just curious, thanks for all the help

SAME AS my A6
Use a vice grips to grab it tightly (and safely) and twist gently back and forth maybe 5 degrees and it will slide out. Lube it a little before you put it back in and it is strongly encouraged that you clean the crap off all of them so that the sensors don't short (160 bucks a piece)
