Default 99 1.8t help

ive been having some problems with my a4, when i got it pluged into the computer it said the #1 piston is misfireing. so they guy at audi told us to order another coil and that didnt work then i just got the part that gose between the spark plug and the coil( i dont know the exact name). And still its has a rough idle and vibrates alot. I changed the plugs too. Im not sure whats wrong. From what i found online the #1 piston is the 1st from the front of the engine unless that was wrong, im not sure what else to do.

thanks

Ok, I moved the coils around to see if I could weed out the bad coil pack, no luck. Im not sure how to check for compression, if I need to use a vag, im gonna have to wait till monday to use the one my school has. or I might have to go get it checked out.
