Default 99' a4 1.8 quattro tranny problems

I just bought the car two days ago and I didnt knowtice any problems when I test drove it. But after driving it a few days it feels almost as if there are 6 gears. In 2nd gear not beating on it or anything at about 2.5k it like.. slips the it will catch itself and go on to the next year. Also when you come to a abrubt stop and left off the brake it will lunge forward about a foot. Does anyone have ANY insight on what might be happening here. I dont know anything about audi's or there transmissions. I dont know what transmission code I have or anything, if you tell me how to do something IC an get you all the information you need. Thanks for any help guys.

I put it in the subject but I should have put it in the context but its a 1999' Audi A4 1.8 Quattro with Tiptonic(sp?) No one around here even wants to touch the car. If you need to know anything else about it, please ask. Thanks!

check your fluid if not low at all (even a quart will make it act up) then change it and add a quart of LUCAS that should help alot.

It sounds like the TQ converter but I would bet your fluid level is down.....
