i have a p0421 on right now and have the broken linkages. I will be replacing with metal ones soon. I the change over is not operating and fuel mixture is wrong maybe(?) it could throw this cat code. everything else is in working order on the car...coilpacks, plugs, vacuum hoses, etc. Since these are obviously broken I will do this fix before looking at o2 sensors and other things. The cats have been replaced so i am guessing they are not actually bad. I let you know if the CEL stay off after I fix it.

Definitely go with the gruvenparts. They have lifetime warranty and are a good company. If you're doing it yourself, save you a ton of $ over the dealer.

I installed the metal linkages today. In addition to this I have fixed a couple questionable vac lines, put new plugs in and ran a can of 44K through the last tank. I'll report back once I get the codes clear and put some miles on it.

44K is this here. We also have a good Audi product on our website called G17. Click our logo/icon and it will take you to the page.
