While driving home last night my gear shift steadily became harder and harder to shift. When I parked at home there was a very strong burning smell and my gears locked. I can't budge them. However, with the engine off the gears shift fine. Clutch works, gears shift. But when I start the engine, I cannot get the gear shift to move without really forcing it. Today is Mardi Gras here in Mobile and my dealer is closed.Any ideas as to what might be wrong? I just had it serviced a week ago by the dealer! Car has 71K miles on it.
