A4 Airbag Control Module
Hi,
I was recently having electrical problems and had to have the alternator replaced which has resulted in a blown stereo and airbag module (dash light permanantly on), the stereo is fixed but the garage is quoting £200 before labour for the module, now, I have scourced one for £60 and want to change it my self but dont know where it is located and can you change it yourself ?, I have been told it is behind the stereo at the end of the tunnel ?
Any Ideas ?

RE: A4 Airbag Control Module
Well Audi then wanted £610 for this little beauty so I managed to get one for £20 off E-Bay and got a local guy to fit for £50 (and sort out the suspension). Took it to an Audi specialist who put the Vag-Com on to reset the light.......and it won't reset !!!. Apparantly you have to code the module to the car, so they are going to have to take the new one out, put the old one in, get the code, put the new one in again and re-set it aaaaggggggggghhhhhhhhh !!!!. Now the supposed "new" module keeps saying "crash data stored", does this mean it has been fired ?, if so can it be reset, or, is it just that the Vag-Com doesn't recognise there is a module in the motor ?
