I have a 2000 1.8TQM with ~112000 miles on it. I recently had a check engine light come on, brought it into the mechanic, and they said there were codes for an Airbage control module, bad MAF, bad 02 sensor, and ABS controller. I had them replace the MAF and O2 sensor, and I believe they said the only two remaining codes were for the ABS module and the Airbag control module. I know the ABS module doesn't give a CEL because I've had that code since I bought the car 2 years ago, but can a bad airbag control module give a CEL along with the airbag light?? If not, I will have it scanned at Autozone and post the codes. If this is the cause of the CEL, do any of you have a recommendation for fixing this without having to spend a bunch of money?
