My amber brake warning light intermittently went on and off with occasional warning bleeps? It is now constantly on? The bulbs, bulb contacts, bulb holder contacts and cluster contacts are all clean and good! Are there any other weak points I could check?

Also between 75 & 80 mph (not present either faster or slower) my car (Front wheel drive A4 1.8T - 1999) develops a very harsh vibration from what appears to be the rear. It's not drive related because it still does it in neutral. I suspect it is a rear shock but would appreciate some advice before I get fleeced by the garage (I've assumed it's beyond my skills to replace?)

Any advice you can give would be a great help.
