Just a quick update for you all

just phoned audi dealer and there's a recall on A4 1996 1.8 se

something to do with lower load bearing arms.

just phone your local dealers and give them your registration number or chasis number and they will check if there is a recall listed for your car.
it's a free check up and according to Audi it will take about an hour.

did you find any difference in your car after.

and did you notice any syptoms before it was done...??

 

luckily..before i bought my car..the guy who owned replaced them himself (works in a shop)...after he was experiencing problems....i got all brand gear underneath!

 

the reason im asking is i have creeking noise coming from the front mainly the passenger side of mine and im wondering if this.

could be part of the problem.

 

it could be, but it could also be a number of other things (shocks, springs, tie rods, probably a couple other possibilities) i didn't notice much of a difference on my car, but the tech at the dealership said that one side had already been replaced and the other side wasn't in terrible shape, but he replaced it anyway.
