my 03 A4, is dolphin gray. my paint --- on my drivers side door looks like it is cracked, about 2 inches under the clear coat, the car just turned 35K miles. it doesnt have a history of accidents, anyone have any ideas about what causes this? i go in for an oil change in two weeks and i am gonig to ask the dealer about it but im sure they will say nothing about AUDI, that it was painted or something so its not their problem. i will try to take a pic of it when i have time to post, it bothers me because i want it perfect.

that should be covered under the paint warranty

 

and a body shop should be able to tell you if somethings been done to it.
sometimes small accidents don't show up on a report, especially if no insurance was filed. depends on what report you get, also.
i bought a used toyota...the car fax the dealer gave me, showed no accident....but when i got my own, i saw it. (i think they used autocheck, i used carfax)
