Hi i wonder if anyone can help ?
a4 1.9tdi . 2000 reg 190000 miles on clock . car runs fine when driving in normal conditions however under accelaration in 4th or 5th gear and always at around 2500 rpm engine suddenly loses power and runs flat. it will continue to run flat untill the ignition is turned off and back on. it will then return to run normally untill the whole process starts again. problem began one day when i started engine and it would not rev at all. that never happend again but the power loss problem started from that point . have had hoses checked all seemed ok. have changed the maf and it made no difference. had the ecu checked and it shows no faults . i am running out of ideas ! Any advice would be a great help. A visit to audi dealers would likely result in me havin to sell the car, the house, an the kids !! . its a option i am trying to avoid.
