I'm looking at a 2004 A4 1.8T Quattro Automatic sport packagenow and its got 24k miles. Is there an extended warranty I can purchase and what does it cover? Also, what would you say are the top 5 maintenance issues with Audi A4's (brakes, trans., etc...). I apologize,I'm not into modding really, but need some help. Thanks

 

depends who you buy it from. If you are in the US, it should still be on OEM warranty. You can contact Audi and see if they will sell you an extended warranty.

There are lots of aftermarket etended warranties. Quality varies by the company that puts them out.

Top problems are minor electrical gremlins, sludge for the 1.8 if the oil hasn't been changed on schedule, front control arms (squeeking when you go over bumps).

as with any car, havee it checked by a competent mechanic who specializes in Audi/VW before you buy.
