Default A4 will not start

I have a '99 A4 that I seem to be having troubles with. Last week the car would not turn over, the battery was dead so I had to replace it. This past weekend I washed the car, started it up and moved it to where I park it, then got in it the next day and the car will not start. It turns over fine but will not fire. Does anyone have any ideas before I tow it the shop?

Will the car start if you hold the gas pedle to the floor? Are the spark plugs getting spark?

On occasion - starting the car and moving it 10 feet, then turning off the car will result in something like this. You have effectively flooded your car. You car adds more fuel to the mix on startup, and if you do not run the car long enough to burn it up, the car will possibly be flooded on next start up. I have heard of this quite a few times.

Do like Jestnomen says and hold the pedal to the floor. It may crank for a couple seconds but shoud catch. If the problem persists then you might want to look into replacing the coolant temp sensor/sender (a defective sensor will somewhat replicate the problem I described above)
