Default About to get wheels...last min. advice please.

Alright, so the time has come for the wheels to be bought. I'm goin' with-

18" ADR Cyphers (in gunmetal) on black car. http://www.adrwheels.com/wheels/?sfID1=12&sfID2=29

I'm also adding B&G lowering springs for 1.5 in. drop to make everything look right.

I'm waiting a week because the distributor is out of those wheels in that size, so before then I wanted to see what you guys think-

1. price - about $1550-1600 with no name tires, wheels, springs
2. will I have to take these off in the winter so as to not damage them, for I live in New England, and snow is sometimes a bitch.
3. Has anyone had 18s that bended easily from potholes, etc?

Thanks.

nice.....i would keep ur old wheels and tires in the back of the garage....put them on in the winter...salt + sand + snow = not good for the wheels....the price seems ok...have fun whit them

I would save your money and get a nice set of shocks before you put in the springs you will end up wearing out your stock shocks in no time at all espically if it is the non sport package trust me i did it haha and yes I have bent one of my 18" enkei's on a pothole I plan on going after the city for it i've heard that going after the city is a bitch but I just plan on going in and starting a big fight if they try to disagree

GOOD LUCK MAN!!

Another quick question- let's say I did srpings, shocks, struts, that means I would need to pay a couple hundred bucks each time winter and summer came around to switch setups right? Because I would need to take off 18s for winter...

If the spring kit is adjustable coilover then it shouldnt be expensive to take your ride back up
for the snow in winter and back down for the summer ....
I would recommend running two sets of tires Winter on stock rims
Summer on expensive rims

so I should really redo the whole suspension it seems?

adjustable coilovers, shocks, struts? Am I missing anything, and is there a cheap package that accomplishes all of this? AWE maybe?

Koni coilovers are a cheap "one stop shop". Fully adjustable for around 800 bucks.
