Well...i ordered some Audi Ring decals and decided im gonna paint the calipers w/ the kit i picked up....any tips? its the brush on type paint

 

I'm thinking about doing the same, my calipers have rust on them so will sanding them affect them at all?

 

^ nah

 

get a wire brush to scrape all the rust off, and then sand it down after that. you can use the wire brush to get any off the rotors as well.

to the OP, just make sure you tape off the brake bleeder screw.

 

And clean the hell out of them with brake cleaner - if you don't it will very likely look like hell. Clean it like you want to eat off of it first - as with any painting, prepwork is the key. Spend the time to clean it right and it'll look great.

 

Yeah, the only suggestion I have for you would be to clean the calipers thoroughly.

Also cover up the parts that aren't supposed to be painted with masking tape.

Yo can you sand blast the calipers? will that effect them in anyway?? instead of sanding just use a sand blaster to clean all the crap off!
