abs module
Hi, i'm currently trying to take my abs module out to see what my part # is. I took out some screws and this greenish liquid started to leak out, i was wondering if i was suppose to have drain something before hand or am i totally going after the wrong part in my car. If i did go after the wrong part, how do i go and fill this liquid back to normal? Also what kind of liquid is it? What is this part i'm messing around with anyway? Is there a link somewhere with a photo tutorial on how to take the abs module out?

Thats brake fluid. You will have to add some brake fluid and bleed the brakes. Those lines on the top go to the abs pump. MOst of the time you can leave all that stuff intact when you remove the module. Its held on to the pump by four screws. Its the part that is bolted to the right of the pump. Two of the bolts that hold it on are visable in the picture. The other two are on the lower portion facing the same way as the two on the top.
Unless your removing the hydraulic side of the ABS system you don't have to loosen the brake lines. To remove the electrical side/module follow this...and that doesn't look like antifreeze. I see from the pic you removed the hydraulic line. It's just coincidence that the coolant looks the same. Am I wrong?
