the compressor is what drags down the engine, so if you have just the fan on without the little snowflake on, all your losing is a couple amps to run the fans, and that aint much

A/C off (econ enabled) = much quicker car.

Very pleased to say the least.

I've covered around 40'000km not knowing what the econ button did....now I know and when alone or with a mate it is staying lit at all times!

bartvaio, I was in hot heavy traffic today, and even with my junkyard fan blowing wide open, the compressor was cutting in and out when stopped. When this happens, I push the recirculate button so the system is only trying to cool the recirculated cabin air and not the entire outside world. This helps a little. Based on my past experience with VW/Audi/Prosche products, if A/C is really important, buy a Buick for summertime use. I'm personally praying for an early Fall. I realized a long time ago that driving an Audi is like dating a supermodel with PMS- you have to remember the great times to put up with the crap you get about 25% of the time.

i cant stand the humiditiy in new york. Its insane . I am always driving with the AC on and I get the worst gas mileage . My car is the slowest thing on earth with the push of the AC button. I just simply can not take the heat. I am polish and I love the cool/cold weather.
