Accuracy of CarFax

RE: Accuracy of CarFax
It is very accurate it is just delayed a few months. They have the buyback gurantee. But when i sold my old car right after i was in an accident it still didn't so up. Yes, it was reported to the DMV and the cost to fix it was 9,000 and change and it still didn't so up. Now i told the people about the accident and nothing happen to the engine it was only body damage but it showed that it had no accidents when i posted it for my ad. I dont know exactly how long until it will show an accident after it takes place. I would say that it is behind by like 3 months which is probally on fault of the DMV.

RE: Accuracy of CarFax
I bought my car 2 months ago now and I never checked the CarFax in detail although I did buy it. Everything checked out fine but just making sure that is a trustworthy source.

RE: Accuracy of CarFax
i crashed my car (not a fender bender 9k to fix) IT WAS REPORTED TO THE DMV and when i sold it, it didn't show up on the car fax, i think the car fax has a 3 or so months lack of information
