Default Advices for an beginner

Hello everybody,

I'm so happy to have found this forum. I spent a few hours today here and I found it great.

I'm inthe proccesof buying a 1997 Audi A4 1.8T, automatic, 69 000km. So, Iwould like to take the car on the 27th of Dec at the Audi dealership for the checks before I'm closing the deal. The owner is very nice and his wife used this car to driveto work; so the car looks very well and clean.

I would like to ask you for any advices that you can share with a junior Audi guy and big Audi lover

I would like to know also the schedule that I have to follow for the regular checks, what I have to change and athow manyKm on board.I am looking to prevention rather then repairs.

Anything that can help will be appreciated. I'm not a very techy guy when talking about cars but I can handle pretty well tools if I know what I have to do

Thank you in advance for all your time.

Merry Christmas,

Martin

I was lucky, a friend is moving so I was there when he sad that would sell the car

Did you know how many hours is needed to change the timing belt and the water pump? I will like to change it before I will start driving it. To prevent make more sens than to repair.

Thanks again,
Martin

I picked up my 99.5 with 45k miles on it. If you look, you can find low milage Audi's (for a price)
