I got the flange of the block and everything but I can't get the tube that is on the bottom of it off. I have tried everything and it won't come off!!!!

Oh and i dropped a screw down into the flange and I am pretty sure that screw fell down into that lower tube and I have no idea how I am going to get it out. I am about ready to call a tow truck and have it towed to the dealership or someplace to have it done. AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

This job is about 1000000x harder then the turbo was!!!!!!!!

Told ya ha ha.
Use a small pry bar on the hose and smack the end of the bar with a hammer and that should jar it loose.

You should have taken off all the hoses off the flange before un-bolting it from the cylinder head.
Put one screw back in to hold the flange in place then bang off the hose going to the flange. Once the flange is completely out then try to use a magnet to retrieve the screw, if you can't get it take out your battery and remove the hose completely. It goes from the bottom of the flange, under the forward bulkhead then back upto the linethat goes tothe heater core, its a pretty short hose, about 3 ft.

see if you can find one of thes magnets on a bndable rod that you can wiggle in there, don't really know where the screw fell is that you are talkgin about, but if it seems reasoablly possible then thats the first thign i woudl try

Ok, an update.

I finished the whole process (finally got that hose off) and the screw did fall down that hose. I squished the hose a few times and found where it was at. It didn't get very far down the hose so I was able to get it out by precision shaking it. (LOL) Once i got it out I did the whole process backwards. I got it all hooked up and filled the coolant up again started the engine and checked for leaks. I didn't see any so I decided to go for a drive (I fixed the leak on my turbo also so that was all working right as well). I started driving around and everything seemed fine. Then I get next to a wall and heard a loud hissing noise (you know how sound bounces off walls and it makes it louder?) Anyways I figured that it didn't sound good so I pulled over and popped the hood. Apparently the big o-ring on the side of the flange didn't seal right and I was spraying coolant everywhere. My engine was steaming and it was just bad. So tomorrow I am going to take that part apart again and try again. It's just one fricken thing after another!!! I can't wait till it's all fixed. Oh and I have gone through a gallon of coolant already because of the leaks. [:@][:@][:@][:@]

I am seriously thinking of taking it to a shop right now if I can't fix it tomorrow.

You might have pinched the O-ring, if you did install another one with some silicone or o-ring assembly lube so it doesn't pinch again.

Ok, I will pick some of that up tomorrow after class. Does that make it easier to push together?

Oh yeah, lube makes everything easier to put together.
